Arkular’s Sustainable Modular Home in Nimbin
Situated in the foothills of the Nimbin Rocks with sweeping views along the valley towards Mt Warning, our Nimbin House has stunning outlooks in every direction.
Full-height windows sitting above the kitchen bench capture views towards Mt Warning, continuing through to the dining space and the lounge area flowing through a fully glazed wall and sweeping outwards across the valley.
Two large overhangs provide areas of protection during inclement weather, with strategically placed sun hoods providing protection from the harsh summer sun.

Full of Colour and Life – Hello Nimbin!
Known for its laidback lifestyle, Nimbin is a tight-knit creative community surrounded by an ancient UNESCO World Heritage rainforest.
A town rich in history and culture, Nimbin and its surrounding areas are part of the “Rainbow Region”, and hold a large amount of cultural significance to the Bundjalung people. Nimbin is also known to be the resting place of Warrajum, the Rainbow Serpent.
In 1973 a group of university students and practitioners of alternative lifestyles held a large gathering known as the Aquarius Festival, which was one of the first events to seek permission for the use of the land from Traditional Owners.
The festival helped to reignite the town, attracting a wide variety of people including writers, artists, musicians, actors, environmentalists as well as tourists and young families.
South Golden Beach House
South Golden Beach is a unique coastal town within the Byron Shire, located 25 minutes from Byron Bay. A quiet, laidback spot with pristine beaches perfect for fishing and surfing.
Our South Golden Beach House is situated on a block nestled amongst native bushland that hugs Yelgun Creek. The design focused on creating a comfortable, low-maintenance dwelling that seamlessly fits into the beautiful natural setting.
The home has been clad using Shou Sugi Ban timber, utilised for its visual aesthetic, and rich black texture and to compliment the surrounding landscape.

Coorabell Ridge Houses
We currently have two exciting projects in the Coorabell Ridge housing community located within the beautiful Byron Bay Hinterland.
At 140m2, our Coorabell Ridge House prioritises energy efficiency and sustainability with the inclusion of solar panels, high grade insulation, double glazing and rainwater tanks.
Our second Coorabell Ridge modular design works with the different climatic conditions of the area, comprising a large open plan kitchen/living/dining and undercover alfresco entertaining area.

Bangalow Hinterland House
Located on sprawling farmland, our U-shaped Bangalow Hinterland House is a private, off-grid family retreat.
The home offers the quintessential peaceful escape and enjoyment of the Byron Bay lifestyle. Requirements for an off-grid solution were driven not only by the client’s eco-consciousness but the remoteness and isolation of the site.
The prominent use of glass provides picturesque panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and a continuous connection with nature.
Take a tour of the Bangalow Hinterland House.
The Big Scrub – Gondwana Rainforest Remnants
A U-shaped modular home in the Northern Rivers, our Bangalow Hinterland House contains remnants of the ‘Big Scrub’ rainforest.
The ‘Big Scrub’ rainforest covered over 75,000 hectares between Byron Bay, Lismore and Ballina. Today, only 1% of this once mighty rainforest remains after being cleared for farming during the 1800’s.
Despite this devastation, its remnants retain the highest proportion of Gondwana-descended species of any rainforest in Australia, with lineages dating back more than 180 million years.
Learn more about the Big Scrub and conservation efforts from the Big Scrub Rainforest Conservancy here.
Bryon Bay House
