Benefits of Being by the BeachÂ
Coastal environments have been scientifically proven to improve our mental and physical well-being, with just some of the incredible benefits including:

Sea air contains iodine, salt, and magnesium, which help encourage respiratory health and can reduce the symptoms of asthma, and promote respiratory health.
2. Better Physical Health
Those living near the water are more likely to get out and engage in physical activity. Going for a dip in the ocean while its cold has several scientifically backed advantages, including increased energy levels, decreased pain and increased blood flow/improved circulation

Help Protect our Ocean Landscapes
Oceans and seas cover more than 70 per cent of the Earth’s surface, helping to feed us, regulate our climate, and generate the majority of the oxygen we breathe. So why should we protect our seas:
1. It helps us breathe
Phytoplankton – tiny plant-like organisms that live in the sea – are responsible for at least 50% of the oxygen on Earth
2. It helps regulate the climate
The ocean absorbs huge amounts of heat from the sun.
3. It’s an important source of food
Fish is on the menu for billions of people around the world every day. It accounts for almost 16% of all animal protein consumed globally.
4. Its biodiversity is incredible
It’s not just a source of food. The ocean is also home to an abundance of life.

To help protect our oceans and seas aim to reduce plastic consumption, pick up rubbish on our beaches, choose eco-friendly products that won’t harm our waterways, reduce your carbon footprint and energy consumption and always be mindful of habitat when visiting.
