The Design
A home seamlessly integrates with the bush landscape of Yackandandah, featuring sliding doors that open onto a spacious deck, offering panoramic views of the nearby mountains and valley. The design embraces minimalist interior finishes, allowing the natural beauty of the outdoors to shine through considered glazing.
Layout
At 138 m², the home seperated into two wings, one with an open-concept kitchen, living, and dining area that encourages togetherness and entertaining and the main bedroom is a private retreat, complete with an ensuite and walk-in robe
The second wing includes two additional bedrooms that have been thoughtfully separated for added privacy. A main bathroom features a bath, shower, and toilet, and a walk-in laundry that doubles as a entry space/ mudroom.
Sustainability
The home designed with off-grid living in mind, featuring a tank-only water system that meets essential firefighting requirements. The he home is entirely self-sufficient, harnessing solar energy and incorporating a battery room within the garage.
Sustainability is a key driver of this project, ensuring that residents can enjoy modern comforts while living in harmony with nature. With a BAL 12.5 rating, this home is built to withstand the elements, making it a perfect retreat for eco-conscious living.
