Design
The design will embrace a modern beach shack aesthetic, blending functionality with a relaxed coastal lifestyle.
The home features a combination of Colorbond and timber cladding, providing a modern yet rustic coastal aesthetic. Solid timber flooring and a timber feature wall add warmth and character to the interior spaces.
A spacious deck will extend the living area outdoors, perfect for entertaining or relaxing. An outdoor shower is included for convenience after beach outings.
Layout
A combined open living area is thoughtfully designed for family interaction, featuring a fireplace for a warm and inviting atmosphere ideal for gatherings. A galley-style kitchen with a hardwearing timber island bench will be perfect for meal preparation and casual dining. A walk-in pantry enhances the kitchen’s functionality with ample storage for food and supplies.
The main bedroom will be designed to maximise natural light, creating a bright and airy retreat, while two additional bedrooms provide space for children or guests. A versatile retreat/guest bedroom serves as a retreat that can double as a guest room.
Sustainability
The home will be designed to meet BAL 29 standards, ensuring safety and resilience in a bushfire-prone area and will be solar-ready, allowing for future installation of solar panels to enhance energy efficiency. Use of Passive Solar design equipped with ceiling fans and a ducted heating/cooling system will help maintain comfort throughout the year.
