The Design
A modern alpine modular home that maximises inside outside living, the Porepunkah house has sweeping south views over the valley and mountain range.
Sustainable design will be prioritised including Passive Design principles, natural and sustainably sourced internal and external materials and conduit installed in the roof cavity for future fit off of solar panels.
Vertical timber cladding, Cemintal sheet, Colorbond roof, timber batten cladding and block work have been proposed for the external finishes to harmonise with the rural setting.
The home comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, rumpus room, open plan living/ kitchen/ dining that flows out onto an outdoor terrace. The slender linear design has bedroom wings located at each end of the house for privacy.
