Insights
from the
architect.

The Design

This considered design provides a comfortable, sustainable home for our clients to retire in. Low maintenance yet durable materials have been chosen including James Hardie Weathergroove and vertical timber shiplap external cladding, with a strong focus on maximising the homes street appeal.

Polycarbonate and timber batten roof detailing in the undercover deck area provides an alfreso space perfect for relaxing and entertaining across all seasons.

Layout

Comprising 3 bedrooms, with the second thoughtfully designed to double as a tranquil yoga studio, 2 bathrooms, a walk in wardrobe in the main bedroom, walk in pantry and separate laundry/ drying room.

Sustainability

The home is passively designed and will be solar ready, working alongside the local Tassie climate conditions to maintain a comfortable year-round temperature.

Orientation, high-grade insulation and glazing work together to take advantage of natural sources of heating and cooling, such as sun and breezes, and to minimise any unwanted heat gain or loss.
