Top 5 Arkular Larger Luxury Home Designs

Looking for a home to fit the whole family – including grandparents, parents & children, or perhaps two families combined?

Think about modular concepts, with room to move, a sustainable footprint and flexible floor plans. These homes can adjust to your needs, with the ease of adding extra modular spaces in the future. The good news is it’s all possible with Arkular & prefab design.

Consider some of our larger luxury modular homes that are bigger, but still, have a conscious footprint. These dwellings are perfectly suited for families looking for more space or for a lifecycle-proof multi-generational home. We have a wide range of styles to suit you, let us help you find the right fit.

Below, we’ve gathered a variety of our prefabs to provide you with a little inspiration if you’re currently considering a new project of your very own.

1. Shoreham Banskia House – 150m2

Considered spatial planning ensures flexibility and versatility for evolving needs. Spare rooms for guests have been positioned for privacy, with sliding doors used to section off spaces or stay open for socialising and movement.

The measured design ensures the living spaces gently hug the outdoor area, maximising flow and blurring the boundaries between inside and out.

2. Byron Bay – Splendour on the coast

Size – 223m2

Sitting within 100 meters of the Byron Bay beach, this two-level L-shape dwelling has it all. Double garage, 4 bedrooms, 2 with ensuites, two living areas over an impressive two levels. Perfect for a luxe family living by the coast.

Given its close proximity to the shoreline, it was a requirement that the building was to be transportable. So that if the coastline was to further erode the assets could be relocated. Just another benefit to prefab design & construction.

3. Blackburn House – Suburban Treehouse

Size – 200m2

With views from the site cascading down the hill towards Gardiners Creek Reserve in Melbourne’s Blackburn, this 4 bedroom modular home harmoniously embraces the natural context of the surroundings whilst maximising the sustainable orientation of the site. Separated into two wings to capture views, both forms cantilever dramatically over their lower edges sitting above the natural ground level.

Internally spaces are designed for life; family rooms, study spaces, day beds and circulation have been thoughtfully planned to ensure that the family has a future in this space and is allowed to thrive.

4. Southern Highlands House – Bush retreat for friends & family

Size – 150m2

A design for a life shared with others; a simple, energy-efficient, modern home that tells an iconically Australian story. Divided into 2 wings this low-maintenance 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home was created to accommodate clients who love to entertain guests and are conscious of the environmental impact.

Consisting of several prefabricated pods, building this home using modular methods was the perfect choice as the site is in a remote location and it would be hard to get trades to the location for a regular build

5. Alphington House – The Yarra River hideaway

Size – 220 m2
