The Design

A minimal, sleek design that respects the surrounding coastal environment. Horizontal timber cladding with timber battens, timber screens on gas struts and grey metal cladding have been proposed for the external finishes.

Layout

The home comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry/ mud room, open plan kitchen/ living/ dining space and deck area. Vaulted ceilings will enhance natural light and add volume to the internal spaces.

Sustainability

Sustainability is a main priority, with the use of Passive Design principles including considered orientation, shading, glazing and high grade insulation minimising energy consumption and allowing for proficient heating and cooling. The home will also be fitted for future use of solar panels.
