The Design
Steep and rocky, the site sits at the foot of the Gold Coast hinterlands, surrounded by native bushland. A welcoming space to entertain family and friends, the home is equipped with a large kitchen and dining space for entertaining and relaxing. A partly covered outdoor entertaining area leads out to a long lap pool, with the inclusion of an outdoor fireplace perfect for cooler nights.
Layout
The home consists of a main bedroom with an ensuite, 2 additional bedrooms and a bathroom. An outdoor room has been incorporated into the module design, with large sliding doors opening the space outwards toward the surrounding view.
Materials
Vertical Silvertop Ash timber and Shale Grey corrugated Colorbond cladding paired with grey-painted steelwork complement and harmonise with the surrounding environment’s natural tones. Glass balustrades to the pool ensure clear eyesight through to the view beyond.
Sustainability
The addition of louvers assists in cross ventilation, with a steel shroud being utilised to shade the window located to the north.
